The New Zealand Software Association (NZSA) is the country's foremost software association. It has relationships with regional software clusters and other ICT sector groups, organisations and associations. NZSA is also closely aligned to government agencies responsible for software sector growth, development and investment.
Serving global markets from New Zealand is the biggest single challenge the industry faces. In recognising this, the New Zealand Software Association (NZSA) is the primary support organisation for accessing the skills, channels and support required to successfully export our software to the world. It delivers an environment where the best of local and international intelligence can be shared to grow global success stories from New Zealand.
The Software New Zealand Alliance (the 'Software New Zealand' brand)
NZSA has built a collaborative alliance between the country's primary software associations: Christchurch based Canterbury Software Inc (CSI) and Unlimited Potential which is based in Wellington. The Software New Zealand Alliance enables members of each constituent organisation to access a wider range of events, companies and resources. This is an association that continues to expand and grow.
The New Zealand Software Exporter’s Association (NZSEA) was founded in 1989 as a specialist, joint action group between the Information Technology Association of New Zealand (ITANZ) and Trade New Zealand (now known as New Zealand Trade and Enterprise). The software sector was recognised as having the potential to become a key contributor to the growth of New Zealand’s economy. NZSEA later became known as the New Zealand Software Association. Today it is one of New Zealand’s fastest growing and most successful industry organisations.
The NZSA continues to evolve, becoming more inclusive and nationally-focused. It recently built a collaborative alliance - Software New Zealand - between New Zealand's primary software associations and regional clusters.
The NZSA’s vision is for New Zealand to grow globally successful software companies.
Its mission is to provide the support, resources and information to assist New Zealand software companies to grow & develop a pathway to export success.
ACCESS: To add value for members, the NZSA’s primary purpose is to deliver export focussed initiatives in the following areas:
